This is Nigeria where the rule of law is nothing but a myth. If history is anything to go by, returning #785M from #4.7B is a great beginning but does that teach anyone a lesson?.. Until the government becomes serious about enforcing the rule of law and the judiciary is clean enough to prosecute those criminals, I see all these as mere propaganda..
I agree that by refunding the money he as agreed to being guilty of stealing - I know some people call it corruption but I think it is really stealing. This man stole what belonged to abut 180million Nigerian people and should not get away by refunding a meager part of the stolen money. The reason we have a law - constitution, and those who enforce it is because of people like 'Koro. He should have his day in court and let's hope our justice system and the judges will are not too corrupt to by fair and just.
Sufficient keh! Yes he should refund. It is a step towards the right direction but he should be made to pay so as to deter others from engaging in gross abuse of office. Whoever is implicated should also me made to face the music. Nobody is above the law.
